Making spatial analysis beautiful, accessible, and affordable
Dark Star Geographics is building a platform that makes powerful spatial analysis as simple as using a smartphone app.
Geographic data holds answers to critical questions in agriculture, environmental planning, urban development, and beyond. But accessing and analyzing that data remains too complex, too time-consuming, and too expensive for most organizations. We're changing that. Dark Star Geographics is building a platform that curates spatial data, automates analysis, and delivers insights through interfaces designed for real people—not just GIS specialists.
Curated spatial datasets ready to use
Automated spatial analysis workflows
Intuitive tools for everyone
Organizations spend weeks gathering and processing spatial data
Traditional GIS tools require specialized training
Critical datasets are scattered across dozens of sources
Years of expertise assembling spatial datasets—all in one place, ready to use
Complex spatial analysis made simple through APIs and automated workflows
Beautiful, accessible tools designed for non-technical users
We're developing domain-specific applications powered by our core platform—starting with solutions for agricultural research, land use planning, and urban sustainability. Our first products will launch in 2026 with pilot partners in Tennessee, designed for rapid expansion across the United States.
Dark Star Geographics was founded by Brad Wilson, who brings 26 years of experience in geographic information systems and agricultural research at the University of Tennessee. With a background in federally funded spatial analysis projects and extensive work in data curation and modeling, Dark Star Geographics combines technical depth with a clear mission: making geographic intelligence accessible to everyone who needs it.
